Bocking in the rain isn't the greatest thing to do ?
So what's the back up plan should in rain CB weekend  Undecided
If it's heavy rain some may just not turn up, but others have transport and places booked or all ready be there ?

Would there be a point to say look at the weather reports on Friday and weekend and say it's going to be too wet and cancel it.
It would be a shame but we have to real about it ?

If people can abort the trip there would be less there getting wet  Undecided

Rain or sun i'm gonna be there!

The basins surface is the very coarse grit set into concrete and therefore offers really good grip even if wet so thats one idea and its not going to rain the whole 48 hours, if it rains during the day we go for a night bock.

I've bock in snow ( black ice is a bad idea ).
I was just thinking back to 8am last year before CB ! I got into London and I thinking the only bockers there would be ducks  Grin

All I'm saying is should the weather turn very bad that people needed water wings !?  Cheesy

I think even if its constant downpour then the whole event will still not be cancelled.

The welshbockers go out in any weather and this is the middle of august aka SUMMER!
Fingers crossed we should be ok. The surfaces down the bay dry up very quickly and there are 1 or 2 under shelter spots, though I'm not sure we'd get 200 bockers under them!

Having never been there I didn't know what the surface is like !?
It only needs to spit near me to turn the path into a slide, I live near the coast ( Cardiff is on the coast ) and the sea makes path mossy around here ?
You must have a lot better paths which I/we didn't know about never been there !

I did mind getting wet ( Wet T-shirts competition LOL ) it's slipping and sliding I mind ?

God must be a Bocker last year it cleared up by 11am in London. I set off for Boston with clear skies and didn't rain all weekend !

I'm not talking about a spot of rain I was talking about gales !

Shocked

The guys/gals sorting out this event seem to have put a lot of time and thought into the event so far.
Would it be to difficult to organise a nearby gym/sportshall for few hours, if need be? (i don't even know if there is a gym in cardiff)? just a thought??

Perhaps even incorparate an hours gym sess into the meet. Hire a hall (if available) with crashmats for 3-4hrs and have groups of 20 or so having an hour each for £1 /£2 each.
I realise the logistics may be a bit difficult, but not impossible. just thinking out loud. Smiley

fingers crossed for good weather. Wink
